NOT!
Man, I am so excited about Christmas this year!
I’ve got my tree up already. I think last year I didn’t put the tree up until the weekend before Christmas. Just didn’t have that….notion. Seemed like a waste of time.
I’ve got my little Christmas village out. I haven’t had that out in almost 5 years. I even bought a couple of little white trees for the village, complete with LED lights. Ali (my daughter) said, “Awww! That’s Cute!”. I bought the fluffy snow for it too!
I’ve got Christmas stuff sitting about the house. Santa’s workshop (complete with snow, too) is on my end table. I’ve got fishing snowmen with fiber optic water sittin on one of the speakers.
A cinnamon creme candle burns in the kitchen that makes my whole house smell Christmassy and Yummy. Hmm. Maybe that’s why I want to eat the second I walk in the door. No. That’s probably because of my belly.
I have already bought none of my Christmas presents this year! So they aren’t already under the tree. I’ve been shopping in my mind, and it’s already wore me out. People just won’t get out of my way. (I have went shopping once, for real. Didn’t by anything though. Well, not for anyone else. Gotta go this weekend.)
And then, like a kid, I wake up and think “How many more days..”. It’s not long though, until I see
Only 16 days left until Christmas. While I’m waiting, I’m playing http://apps.facebook.com/ochristmastree which will help raise money for St. Jude…via O Christmas Tree –
Ugh, I can’t wait! Stop telling me how many days! Like a kid, it just makes it worse. Course, I’m teasing a bit. We need to keep helping St. Judes. I think that’s great.
Finally, do you wanna know what makes this year so much different? Eh, I’ll let you guess.
Is this year more or less special for you? What are you MOST excited about? Do you still get that “butterflies in the stomach” feeling when you think about Christmas, or am I just being….goofy?

Of course you’re goofy-so am I and I love being goofy-spread the goofiness to all-it’s Christmas. I am thankful for the birth of our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus this Christmas and every day of the year. At Christmas time I guess it is more special because we CELEBRATE His birth and we are moved by songs like Oh Holy Night, and Silent Night and Hark the Herald Angels. We should be celebrating His birth year round!
Thanks for the comment over at Flowers of Life, I appreciate it, and if you go back today, you’ll see that I’ve changed the prayer so that it is more unisex instead of being directed at women only. I should have thought about that before posting it, but that’s how it came to me so I just copied and pasted it. It’s all fixed now and MO BETTER!
SOOOO, no worries, I haven’t shopped either and I’m not really going to do alot of shopping this year as I am giving handmade art to most folks whether they like it or not!
Oh, and if you want to support local artists in your area or across the country by purchasing lovely hand made gifts, go to Etsy.com-you’ll find 1 of a kind gifts and you’ll be supporting artists everywhere. There is even a tab to put in your local zip code and it will show only artists in your area that are selling things. Check it out-you won’t have to leave the comfort of your home or deal with angry or inconsiderate mall shoppers.
Have a blessed day Scott.. today and everyday. I’m so happy for you that your heart is filled with LOVE and Jesus Christ has taken over! Joy!
Much love,
Leslie
Oh, and I love your decorations-simply fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leslie
@Leslie – You didn’t have to change it. I knew you just put it out there the way it came to you. I was only kidding.
I agree, everyone should celebrate it everyday, not just the one day a year, but hey. You know, at least on this one day, maybe…just maybe…more are thinking about him than normal, you know?
I kinda like my decor too. Thanks!
Hi Scott – I’m a huge Christmas nut. I love the lights, decorations and music. I don’t really care about what I get, but I do love to wrap presents in pretty paper, ribbons and bows. I also love the look in childrens eyes when they see the lights, Santa, or any of the other “stuff”. It’s all about the kids, but I turn into one at this time of year.

@Barbara – I didn’t even mention them music! Love IT! My kids are driving me crazy with the stuff. One wants to go out and spend his money on just stuff. Stuff he could get for Christmas. My daughter is about to pass out wanting the Twilight books. She asked me to go ahead and get them and give them to her. HA! I remember that feeling. So much fun! Thanks for coming by Barbara!
