Well, back in December I was introduced to this “tagging” thing that I had heard about over the last couple of months. Well, introduced in that I got tagged twice in my blog and once on Facebook. But that’s ok. I’m going to fulfill my destiny
Since most everyone I know has already been tagged, relax. Your safe. I will not be tagging anyone. But, feel free to pick up if you would like.
First, I was tagged by JB. Then by Kool Aid. I’m not sure what the rules are, but, I’m going to do two in one.
Without further ado, here are 7 random things about me. (JB wanted 8..Kool Aid wanted 6. I’ll meet in the middle.)
1.) I’m a cat person, not a dog person. I’m too lazy to take care of a dog. Though, recently I have had an urge to get a dog. I’m just scared that (a.) my cats will eat it and (b.)that I will end up on the news being arrested for having too many animals in the house. Cats are calm. They don’t really need anything yet they don’t really do anything. Kinda like me I guess.
2.) I L-O-V-E taking baths. I’ll spare you the imagery. They are just so relaxing.
3.) I’ve only had 4 jobs since I was 14. Something I’m quite proud of actually. I’ve never went more than a week without working since. I’ve never been without a job. I worked at Lakeside Cookery here in town from 14-18. El Chico in Nashville from 18-22, Gibson Guitar from 22-26, Artis Networks from 26-current (35).
4.) I had a string of summers in my youth where things on my body just broke. One year, I broke my nose playing SOFTball. It was NOT that soft. My nose had a bend in it and you could see the imprints of the stitches from the ball above my eye. Never, ever, ever, let your glove down when trying to catch a ball. The next year, I broke a rib, punctured a lung, and almost lost my spleen falling out of a tree landing on a high chair. I was trying to get a bat out of a tree. No, a baseball bat, silly. Why was the bat in the tree? Cause I was trying to use it to knock the glove out of the tree, duh. Yeah, I can keep going….
5.) I love to cook Italian food…I just don’t. Actually, I’m probably not that good at it. There is just something about acting like I can that makes cooking pasta…fun. I have been known to pretend I am staring on a Food Network cooking show. Hush. Don’t laugh…well, ok, you can laugh. I have an imagination. Sorry.
6.) I enjoy taking pictures out in nature. I hope to do more of it this year than I have in the past. With these new non-alcohol tainted eyes, things just look so much more photogenic.
7.) Ugh, my daughter is turning 14 on Monday! FOURTEEN I said. That means in 2 years she will be driving, 4 years she’ll be in college! SHE IS NOT A LITTLE GIRL ANYMORE!!!!!
There you have it folks. I should be embarrassed by some of those I guess, but, I’m not. I have nothing too hide. Go ahead, laugh, share, enjoy, talk. It’s all been worth it.
Because of HIM

Hi Scott,
Great to know more about you! And very fun – the look into you!
No pictures of the baths = a good thing!
But let’s see pictures of you acting out the Food Network! Now that’s good material (well, maybe not for you – for your readers though…good fun!!!).
And, I have a 14 year old too! Scary how close to driving he is!
Lance’s last blog post..Sunday Thought For The Day
Yeah, and I want to see pictures of you throwing your bat into a tree to get your glove. And I’ll just assume that the glove was in the tree because you were trying to dislodge your parent’s car… and it goes on from there
Great to know more about you. You didn’t mention, however, you power with The Force…
@Lance – It’s one thing to admit it, it would be completely different to have pictures of my Food Network stints…lol. I’m almost embarrassed just thinking about it.
I’ll give it some thought. I’ll have to cook first though. Not something I normally do.
Thanks for stopping by!
@Ryan – How did you know about the car? You in my head again?
Keep coming back for info on The Force
I’ve yet to master it though.
Thanks for the visit!
Hey Scott,
I am a little behind at getting around but I loved this. I have a hard time finding anything to write about myself.
The falling out of the tree story was a good one! I thought I was the only one that climbed trees.
Oh, the 14 thing is terrible. Mitchell turned 14 in October and I know he thinks he is 16 now. He is a good kid but boy do I dread the 9th grade. I am sure we can tag each other about our teen stories in the future.
Cricket’s last blog post..I Am
Hey little varmint (Cricket)
I thought I would too, then I just sorta started writing. Oddly enough, I don’t really know that much about myself. Well, I didn’t think I did anyway.
I’m not so much dreading the 9th grade…yet. Oh, and yes. I’m sure I’ll have some stories to tell
